HairToStay began in 2016 when cancer fighters Bethany and Patsy joined forces to help provide resources and funds for cancer patients with financial need.
HairToStay is the first and only national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients afford scalp cooling, a treatment that can dramatically reduce chemotherapy induced hair loss. Not only do they subsidize the treatment, they also raise awareness and offer information and support to patients considering the use of scalp cooling to keep their hair during chemotherapy.
Salon Services would like to bring awareness to HairToStay, in order to give salons a resource to provide help for their clients and to let them become involved in supporting an amazing cause. Many salons have opted to participate in a Salon-a-Thon or even host their own to raise awareness and funds for the cause.
To date, HairToStay has raised over $1M and has awarded subsidies to over 600 patients nationally. Awareness and demand are growing exponentially.
